Union Mission has been caring for Savannah’s homeless community for 80 years, offering emergency, transitional and permanent housing, as well as comprehensive wrap-around services, including HIV/AIDS supportive services, employment, training, and counseling services. Thanks to the community’s financial and volunteer support, over the past five years 73% of our clients exited emergency services into safe, habitable living arrangements. Your support makes a difference and your generosity helps those individuals and families to rebuild their lives.

This year’s keynote speaker is Dr. Bertice Berry. The sixth of seven children, Berry grew up poor in Wilmington, Delaware. Told by a high school teacher that she was “not college material,” Berry was nonetheless gifted with the support of another instructor who believed she was destined for more. With help and hope, Berry applied to college, eventually graduating Magna Cum Laude from Jacksonville University in Florida. She would go on to earn a Ph.D. in Sociology from Kent State University. Join us on Thursday, April 20th, as Dr. Berry shares her inspiring story of hope and help.
