Behavioral Health

UNION MISSION, INC.

In 2007, Union Mission and Parent & Child Developmental Services (a 200+ year non-profit organization in Savannah) merged. Their expertise was behavioral health programming. Union Mission now offers those services in Chatham and Effingham Counties.

Union Mission provides adult and children's behavioral health services to those deemed most in need in the community including homeless persons residing in Union Mission facilities.  Behavioral health programs include psychiatric services, medication management, mental health and addictive disorders day treatment, group therapy, community support services, and residential services.

The programs are located on Union Mission's Fahm Street campus and at the United Way service center in Effingham County. In 2008, these programs saved Chatham County tax payers $7 Million through alternative to incarcerations programs. In Effingham County the savings far exceeded $1 Million.
